Join the Saturday Demo for a ceasefire!

Yesterday’s branch meeting on the situation in Palestine/Israel voted for motions to support the national demonstrations for a ceasefire. This is a priority because of the ongoing and immediate massacre being faced by the civilian population of Gaza (currently the death count includes nearly 3000 children). We will also be circulating a statement based on these motions soon. The most pressing thing for everyone, however, is to join the national demonstration today (Saturday 28th October) if they can.

Trade unions are uniting to support this call and joining the demonstration along with civil society groups, NGOs, Jewish organisations for a ceasefire, celebrities, politicians, lawyers, artists and musicians. We encourage you to join them if you can.

Saturday 28 October, "National March for Palestine - Ceasefire Now!"

• Called by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign
• Assemble on the Victoria Embankment 12 noon for main demonstration. (Embankment tube).
• March to Parliament Square via South Bank.
• Trade Unions are asked to assemble at 11am under the Hungerford Bridge.
