I obtained my BA and MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy. I was a student at the Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP) which was founded by the Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino in 2004 and restricted to 150 young exceptionally talented students who had been selected solely on the basis of merit. In 2017, I worked on my Master’s thesis for 8 months with the Surgical Robot Vision group at UCL, and the following year started studying towards a PhD under the supervision of the head of the group, Prof. Dan Stoyanov. My research focuses on automation for robotic surgical tasks. I am currently working with the da Vinci System, by Intuitive Surgical, along with the da Vinci Research Kit (dVRK).
