At the Edge will run in the lead-up to COP26 and focus on how IoT and cyber experts can help develop climate change related solutions. The series was developed following a number of conversations with PETRAS stakeholders on the role that IoT, edge computing and cybersecurity may play in aiding efforts to achieve Net-Zero.

Each episode will centre around a different conference theme, focusing on the IoT angle. At the Edge will include lively and engaging conversations between experts from across academia, industry and government. The focus of the podcast is on sharing stories, understanding the challenges experienced “on the ground”, and discussing how the UK’s research excellence can help develop practical and effective solutions. The podcast is also an opportunity for PETRAS to engage with a broad audience, delivering impact for the UK economy and society at large.

As a National Centre for Cybersecurity PETRAS aims to address the social and technical challenges arising from innovation in the Internet of Things (IoT) and as a consortium of experts from across 22 universities along with 150 user partners, seeks to explore how AI, IoT and machine learning can help to solve some of the current challenges faced by society.
