This 3-hour interactive workshop will explore existing and emerging disciplinary and operational configurations and their utility in repositioning mental health in global and local contexts. Participants representing academic, policy and practitioner communities will exchange thoughts and insights on the adjustments needed in health delivery systems to make them adequate and responsive for dealing with the increasingly important yet perennially neglected challenge of mental health.

About the Speakers
Pooran Desai MA (Oxon) OBE Hon FRIBA
Pooran studied at Oxford and Cambridge Universities before becoming a serial social entrepreneur, real estate developer and sustainability advisor. He is CEO of Oneplanet.com which is providing tools for cities, companies and community groups to create, share and connect plans for building a sustainable future.
Dorcas Gwata
Dorcas is a Global Health Specialist working with young people and families affected by gang culture in London, a project that extrapolates research lessons from low income countries to high income countries, she has worked on the Zimbabwean Friendship Bench Project and she has extensive experience working in East Africa and Asia.
