The Slade's Rock Room Project 2017 takes the shape of an experiment in the UCL Earth Sciences Cold Rooms - an Ice Physics Laboratory set at minus 20 degrees.

The project is an invitation to think about and experience temperature, how it underpins and affects materials, ideas and our own bodies, the difficulty in memorising temperature and how we respond emotionally.

Various sculptural experiments including a scent workshop at below zero temperatures will take place in the Cold Rooms over two days and the results are on show in the UCL Portico.

The display will take place in the UCL Portico, Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT (in the main quad) from 1pm on Friday 12 May 2017.
