This five-week Sunday course will help you develop your own practical and aesthetic interests in painting through individual studio-based enquiry.
You'll work from your own ideas and preparatory material, supported by the course tutors.
You'll have the option to attend workshops to learn how other painters develop their work.
The course runs on five consecutive Sundays, from 10am to 4pm.
This course is run by the Slade School of Fine Art at UCL.
Course structure and teaching
The course aims to provide you with space to develop your ideas and personal practice.
There's no structured teaching, but you'll receive close tutorial support.
You can also attend optional morning workshops which will explore strategies used by painters to develop work.
There will also be slide shows of tutors' work (which represents a wide spectrum of professional practice in terms of style and subject matter) and group critiques.
