This academic year we are pleased to be welcoming our fourth cohort of students to the SEAHA CDT. Seven new students are joining us at the Institute of Sustainable Heritage at UCL to study the MRes in Science and Engineering in Arts, Heritage and Archaeology before they start their PhDs across UCL, Brighton and Oxford.

Joining us this year is Ida Ahmad (UCL, Institute for Sustainable Heritage), Isabella del Gaudio (UCL, Institute for Sustainable Heritage), Dean Few (University of Brighton), Gavin Leong (University of Brighton), Antanas Melinis (UCL, Institute of Archaeology), Morana Novak (UCL, Institute for Sustainable Heritage), Charlie Willard (UCL, Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering).

Their projects cover a wide variety of fields and include 3D hyperspectral imaging of heritage, modelling the degradation of plastics in museums, and the storage conditions of early glass.

We are also pleased that as well as continued support of valued  heritage and industry partners, we have a number of new partners supporting our students over the next four years of the programme: Conservation by Design, Glashutte Lamberts, Museum of London, Lacerta Technology Limited, Breuckmann/AICON/Hexagon.

We are excited to have six new budding heritage scientists with us, and we wish them the best for their SEAHA journey. Expect to hear more about them and their cross-disciplinary research soon!
