Marco Paini from QxBranch will provide an introduction to quantum computing and its relevance to the Finance industry. Specific use cases in the areas of optimisations, machine learning and Monte Carlo methods will also be illustrated. Marco leads clients programs in the UK and the quantum computing applications portfolio development at QxBranch, an advanced data analytics and quantum computing software company, headquartered in Washington, D.C., with offices in the UK and Australia. Prior to joining QxBranch, Marco spent more than eighteen years with Accenture, where he has held several roles in technology. In the last part of his career with Accenture, Marco oversaw the AI ecosystem and the development of the quantum computing offering for the Accenture UKI Financial Services Technology Advisory practice. Marco studied physics at the University of Pavia, where he collaborated with the Quantum Information Theory Group of the University of Pavia, contributing to important results in quantum tomography.
