Description:

Quantum Chemistry has attracted much interest as an area for future application of quantum computation. This workshop aims to bring together experts in quantum chemistry, quantum simulation and experimentalists working on the implementation of quantum computing models with the aim of identifying key outstanding challenges for quantum chemistry which quantum computers and simulators could address.
The workshop will present recent developments in quantum algorithms for quantum chemistry and the prospects for experimental implementation of small examples. The output will be a document seeking to influence the direction of research in this area, highlighting the most basic requirements for a quantum information processor to address outstanding challenges in quantum chemistry, the problems it could solve, and the broader societal impacts which this would eventually yield.

Agenda and speakers TBA.
