Research Interests
I'm interested in building quantum computers. I am working on the coupling of superconducting microwave resonators to Bismuth dopant spins in silicon, forming a hybrid quantum system. Bismuth has a large nuclear spin of 9/2 which makes it particularly interesting for quantum information processing, as this gives rise to 20 energy levels and thus a large 20 dimensional Hilbert space.
Interesting fact
I once crashed a gay wedding on a small island in the inner Hebrides in Scotland on a sea kayak trip, while trying to save a stuck sheep near our camp. That was the only wedding I'd ever been to.
