Renée Danziger is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Psychoanalysis Unit at UCL. She is a member of the British Psychoanalytic Society and a psychoanalyst in private practice. Her academic background is in history and political science. She has a doctorate in politics from Oxford University, and has worked as a consultant for the World Health Organisation's AIDS Programme, as well as honorary senior lecturer at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine where she conducted research on social and policy issues relating to HIV/AIDS. She is interested in the application of psychoanalytic thinking to understandings of public health &policy; trauma; and social media.
