Angela Barrett

Angela joined the Psychoanalysis Unit in 2018 after previously working as a post-doctoral researcher in UCL’s Department of Respiratory Medicine and as a teaching fellow on the BSc Applied Medical Sciences programme. Her PhD thesis examined molecular mechanisms of cell movement and signalling, and was completed in UCL's Division of Medicine.

As Communications Officer she produces web, social media and video content for the Psychoanalysis Unit. She is also the editor of The University Clinic Newsletter. She particularly enjoys scientific communication which can bring research findings to a broader audience. In her capacity as a Research Officer she assists with developing grant applications and also works on research projects, including a recent evidence review of long-term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
