Phenotypes & Association

Psychotic disorders are highly heterogeneous in their onset, treatment outcomes and symptomatology, which complicates the search for their causes. This project aims to identify biological markers that we can use to understand disease mechanisms. If we investigate the biological pathways we will develop new treatments.

phenotypes

The main phenotypes we work with include:

  • Electroencephalography (EEG): Event-Related Potentials (ERPs), such as the P300 and the Mismatch Negativity, as well as resting EEG.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) including measures of brain volume and cortical thickness and brain function.
  • Neuropsychological measures of cognition
