Research Interests

Clinical psychologist, MSc in Dementia.

My research interest is integral old-age care, especially the understanding and treatment of neuropsychiatric symptoms in dementia. Currently, my PhD is about Apathy in Alzheimer’s disease (AD); where my principal aim is to conceptualise apathetic behaviour in AD and develop an effective model of non-pharmacological intervention to prevent and treat apathy in people experiencing dementia. My research will be focused on both quantitative and qualitative approaches, trying to integrate the numeric data with the phenomenology of dementia.

Other research interests: self-awareness in dementia, carers and relatives of people with dementia.
