The Provost’s award schemes recognise members of the UCL community for their outstanding contributions to university life in the areas of teaching, public engagement and enterprise.
1) Provost’s Teaching Awards
The Provost’s Teaching Awards were set up to celebrate the best of pedagogic prowess at UCL and to reward staff who are making outstanding contributions to the learning experience and success of our students.
They also demonstrate UCL’s commitment to:
- improving teaching, learning and assessment as an ongoing process
- highlighting and rewarding achievements that support teaching and learning
- attracting and retaining world-class staff.
UCL takes pride in its research-led teaching. The Provost's Teaching Awards recognises and rewards those who are making significant contributions to teaching and learning at UCL. 2) Provost's Public Engagement Awards
The Provost’s Public Engagement awards recognise UCL staff and students who have developed innovative and interesting ways to open a dialogue with public audiences about the academic activity that goes on at UCL.

3) Provost’s Spirit of Enterprise Award
The UCL Provost’s Spirit of Enterprise Award recognises the achievements and approach of an academic at UCL who has demonstrated a willingness to engage with business in multiple ways that have enhanced their core research and teaching activities.
The winner of this award is announced at the UCL Awards for Entrepreneurship, which recognise and celebrate the success of UCL students and staff in entrepreneurship.
