Clarkey's was named in honour of the late Professor Anthony Clarke, who was a founding programme leader at the unit from 1998-2014. Clarkey's was designed to give scientists a chance to meet, encourage conversations and promote collaborations across the unit. Each Friday the unit gathers for a Coffee & Tea break, providing a selection of snacks to suit all. The dedicated dining and social area contains four microwaves, four fridges, and a hot/cold ZIP tap for preparing refreshments and meals.
