IPLS Microfabrication, Micropatterning and Microfluidics Workshops

We are organising two online workshops intended to give students an understanding of the principles and practical processes of photolithography and soft moulding. Examples will be given of the application of these techniques to research in biology.

These will be held on:
- Monday 1st February 2021, 2-4pm
- Friday 5th February 2021, 2-4pm

Syllabus 

• Microfabrication theory (~2h): basics of mask design, basics of photolithography, basics of soft moulding.  
• Applications of microfabrication techniques to biological research (~2h): basics of microfluidics, applications of microfluidics, basics of micropatterning, applications of micropatterning.
