Job description
The purpose of this job is to deliver practical language teaching in Norwegian.
For an initial period of two weeks, the Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) will deliver 8 contact hours per week of language instruction in basic and intermediate Norwegian, under the guidance of the programme director. Classes are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. A high level of fluency in Norwegian is essential; a native or near-native command of the language is highly desirable. PGTAs are expected actively to follow and promote UCL policies, including Equal Opportunities, and to be attentive to GDPR compliance and any other relevant UCL policies.
Key responsibilities
- Class preparation and meeting with lecturers/module organisers
- Marking students' work
Requirements for role
The candidates will be educated to Master's degree level (or having equivalent experience) and be working towards a relevant postgraduate degree (PhD).
