Welcome to the The MSc Clinical Associate in Psychology (Adult Mental Health) apprenticeship programme.
The programme combines education in the academic knowledge, and training in the clinical competences, required to work as a Clinical Associate in Psychology in adult mental health services. This MSc course is also an apprenticeship programme. It is a partnership between your employing NHS Trust and UCL, designed to ensure we meet the needs of employers. UCL has extensive links with employers and we have developed our apprenticeships with our partners to meet local and national skills strategies and where relevant to contribute to skills shortages. A significant component of the programme is practice-based learning and clinical practice in mental health services of the student’s employer, supervised by Health and Care Professions Council registered practitioner psychologists. Qualification from the programme confers eligibility to work as a Clinical Associate in Psychology in the NHS in the area of practice of the programme (adult mental health).
