Our lab’s research focuses on human learning, memory, and decision-making. We use a range of techniques to study these including behavioural experiments and computational modeling, especially with deep learning and signal detection models. Several strands of our research link closely to neuroscience, especially relating to amnesia and the role of the hippocampus in human cognition. Other strands have a strong applied focus, including our work on the benefits of retrieval practice for everyday learning.
