Giacomo Livan

Giacomo

Giacomo Livan obtained a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2012. He later worked for three years at the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Trieste, Italy) as Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2014 he joined the Computer Science Department of UCL as a Research Associate, and in 2015 he won a 5 year EPSRC Early Career Fellowship in Digital Economy. Dr. Livan's research field is the application of methods from Statistical Physics to the analysis and modeling of complex socio-economic systems. His main focus is currently in the study of online trust and reputation in large scale peer-to-peer platforms.
