To examine hypothesised links between behaviour change techniques (BCTs) and (i) mechanisms of action and (ii) behavioural theories, we conducted three consensus studies, involving 117 experts in behaviour change from 18 countries. We had a fantastic response, with >90% experts completing all rounds of each study.
