I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist on the Doctoral Programme at UCL, currently doing my Major Research Project with the PsychUP for Wellbeing team. The aim of my project is to interview UCL students who have self-harmed, to understand the facilitators and barriers they face in seeking mental health support while at university. The results will be fed back to key stakeholders at UCL and local NHS partners, to improve clinical services and care pathways for students with mental health needs. I am grateful to be working with an enthusiastic Steering Group made up of UCL students, to ensure that student voices are at the heart of my project plans.

I completed my BA Experimental Psychology at Oxford University, and after graduating, worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre, investigating mindfulness-based interventions to enhance mental health and wellbeing in various populations, including university students. I also worked as a Research Manager at the Jonny Wilkinson Foundation, developing wellbeing projects for youth at risk of dropping out of mainstream education, and as a Nursing Assistant in a specialist inpatient service for young people.
