New Science of Sign YouTube channel launched by former DCAL colleagues

Dr. Eva Guiterrez-Sigut and Dr Laurie Lawyer, University of Essex, have created a YouTube channel with a growing number of videos in BSL which summarise research on Sign Language and on how deaf people use language.

The aim of the channel is to increase awareness of research topics which involve deaf people and spark interest for the next generation of deaf researchers. The creators want to add videos summarised by deaf researchers from any background. This is why the team are encouraging others to get in touch to contribute to this goal.
The channel already has 20 videos on different research themes and papers, for example, Sign Language processing, reading and bimodal bilingualism to name a few.
