Prof. Sophie Scott records a podcast with Russel Brand

Prof. Sophie Scott from the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience recorded a podcast with Russel Brand this week for his Under The Skin podcast channel. Sophie spoke about how politicians use jokes, like Trump, Boris and Theresa May.

In addition to being a public engagement guru and stand-up comedian, Sophie researches the neurobiology of speech perception, including the functional sub systems in human auditory cortex, the evolution of speech, the difference between intelligibility and comprehension, and profiles of recovery in aphasia.
