Martin O'Connell
Martin O’Connell is an Associate Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), and leads the IFS research group focused on modelling consumer choice and firm competition in retail markets. He has done a range of work that considers the design of public policy, such as taxation and advertising restrictions, in markets for alcohol and foods. He holds a PhD in Economics from University College London, which was awarded in 2015.
