Ivonne Derks

Ivonne Derks
Ivonne Derks is a Research Fellow at the Research Department of Behavioural Sciences and Health. She obtained a Master degrees in Health Sciences at Maastricht University and Clinical Epidemiology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She completed her PhD (2019) at Erasmus Medical Centre Rotterdam, which focussed on identifying behavioural determinants and consequences of childhood obesity by using population-based prospective cohort data. The past years, she has been a postdoctoral researcher and an academic teacher for the Clinical Psychology program at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research focusses on the development of eating disorders, the link between obesity and behavioural and mental health factors, appetite, and parental feeding practices. Within the Obesity Policy Research Unit, Ivonne’s role is to investigate the impact of healthy weight and eating messaging on children and the impact of altering infant food labels on infant feeding choices.
