Take part in a motor action research study and earn cash

Maria Gkotsi, PhD student from the UCL Institute of Neurology is recruiting participants for a study which focuses on understanding whether planned motor action can be inhibited.

Take part in a motor action research study and earn cash Researchers will ask participants to sit comfortably in a chair, a watch-like device will be attached at the wrist and will send tiny vibrations that are painless. Participants will feel a sensation but it will not be painful. Researchers will ask participants to undertake a behavioural task that would be a simple reaction time task throughout the experiment.

What would taking part involve?

  • Taking part in this study will involve one session of 60 minutes
  • Ask you to do a behavioural task.
  • Testing sessions will take place at 33 Queens Square, London, WC1N 3BG on the 4th floor.
  • You will be paid £10 an hour to reimburse you for your time.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if:

  • you are over 18-years-old
  • you are not currently taking any medication for a neurological/neuropsychiatric condition (e.g. antidepressants/antipsychotics/antiepileptics)
  • you have normal or corrected to normal vision.
