UCL parents and carers together network (PACT) event: coping with needs: special or not!

2 July 2014

I am pleased to invite you to our next structured PACT session which is aimed at families who have children with disabilities:

What: ‘Coping with needs: special or not!’’

When: Wednesday, 9 July 2014

Time: 12pm-1pm

Where: Room G37 & G38, 1-19 Torrington Place, UCL

By: Claire Harding from Contact a Family

Contact a Family is a national charity that exists to support the families of disabled children whatever their condition or disability. They offer support, information and advice to over 340,000 families each year and campaign for families to receive a better deal. Claire works closely with the Support & Engagement team. She will be talking about different ways to improve the circumstances of families with disabled children, and for their right to be included and take part in society. She will also be available after the talk for any one-to-one queries. This talk will be followed by lunch (provided) and an opportunity for networking.

This session will be followed by a Parent and Carers Summer Social Networking Lunch, which is open to all. It is an opportunity to drop in and meet others with similar experiences in a friendly and informal environment:

Time: 1pm-2pm (lunch will be provided)

Where: Room G37 & G38, 1-19 Torrington Place, UCL

By: Madiha Sajid, Chair of PACT and the Equalities and Diversity Team

Please let us know if you are planning to attend either event by emailing equalities@ucl.ac.uk to assist us with catering requirements.
