29 April 2024

Conversations with staff and students have told us that ensuring a lived culture that reflects our values is very important to people at UCL.

We have been working hard to drive progress in this area, and building on our commitment to inclusion, belonging and equity is a key institutional priority. We are also working to make sure that UCL remains a place where open discourse and different perspectives flourish, and where more voices are amplified in decision-making.

We would like to update you on some of the work ongoing in this space during the next Staff Town Hall and we will also use the time to look ahead to plans over the upcoming year including an EDI Strategic Review to strengthen and amplify our existing commitments.

We invite all staff to join a conversation about this through registering to join us in person or online at the Town Hall on 1 May at 2.30pm.

Panellists will include:

  • Dr Michael Spence, President & Provost
  • Donna Dalrymple, Chief People Officer
  • Professor Alison Koslowski, Pro-Provost (Equity & Inclusion)
  • Professor Paola Lettieri, Vice-President (Strategy) and Pro-Provost (UCL East)
  • Aimie Chapple, Vice-President (Operations)
  • Professor Geraint Rees, Vice-President (RIGE)
  • Chair: Professor Anna Cox, Professor of Human-Computer Interaction in the UCL Interaction Centre (UCLIC) and Vice Dean (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) in the Faculty of Brain Sciences

We will also be welcoming back an opening section for the Town Hall to hear from three more UCL Change Builders who are working to drive progress for our staff, students and community.

Directly after the event we will be serving light refreshments for those attending in person so please do stay and join us.
