Research:

Xinjie’s research interest involves CO2-induced self-assembly of small molecules into long wormlike micelles (or called as living polymers), synthesis of thermo- and CO2-thickening copolymers for CO2-enhanced oil recovery and ultra-thin two-dimensional polymers for CO2 separation, preparation of CO2-responsive polymer microspheres by seeded emulsion polymerization and CO2-triggered microreactions in liquid marbles.

Xinjie is a Ph.D. student from the smart soft matter group of Prof. Yujun Feng at Sichuan University. He joined the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering (CNIE) as a visiting researcher from December 2021.

Education:

Ph.D.: Material Science, Sichuan University, China (2018-Present)

M.Eng.: Material Science, Sichuan University, China (2014-2017)

B.Eng.: Polymer Material and Engineering, Northeast Forestry University, China (2010-2014)
