Lucy Todd, UCL CNIE PhD Student, participates in UCL Widening Participation Summer School.

Last week, one of our NICE group members assisted in the annual Widening Participation Summer School hosted by the Chemical Engineering department at UCL. Lucy Todd was excited to showcase her research in a short presentation to the students that demonstrated the wide variety of research conducted in the department. She also greatly enjoyed assisting in the chemical car project, where students engineered a Lego car powered by a bicarb and vinegar reaction and competed to see which car would go the furthest. Although Lucy's car didn't win, it was a wonderful opportunity to engage with students and share the fun and excitement of engineering!
