Matthew Chin and Julia Linke from UCL Centre for Nature-Inspired Engineering (CNIE) were finally able to attend a real-life UCL Graduation Ceremony to receive their qualifications in person. The ceremonies were held at the Excel Centre in East London, on 9th  and 10th March 2022.

Julia’s graduation ceremony came one year late due to Covid-19, and she was officially awarded a BSc in Bioprocessing of New Medicines (with Business and Management), which she studied for between 2018 and 2021, under UCL's Biochemical Engineering Department.

Matthew’s graduation ceremony (Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Brain Sciences and Population Health) was also delayed by the pandemic. He started his PhD, as part of the BBSRC London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme, in Oct 2015. Matthew officially had his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering confirmed in May 2020.

Further images below, and belated congratulations to both!
