Several pieces of good news to report:

1. Hang Lou passed his PhD viva Friday 22 Sep. His thesis is titled “Path development with applications in deep learning”. He was supervised by Hao Ni.
2. Luke Davis was awarded a Travel grant from G-Research to fund a trip to the Lorentz Center in the Netherlands.
3. Michael Singer is leading a new initiative called `Rewilding Mathematics’ which has been funded under the International Centre for Mathematical Sciences’ new `Maths for Humanity’ programme https://www.icms.org.uk/funding-opportunities/mathematics-humanity
