(1) Duncan Hewitt has been awarded the inaugural Oldroyd Early Career Award by the European Society of Rheology. Congratulations Duncan!

 (2) Giulia Celora has been awarded a one-year extension to her EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship, so we'll have her here a bit longer. Congratulations Giulia!

 (3) Finally, I've been informed that UCL has spent some of the Easter break installing new whiteboards in teaching rooms so they can be suitable for a wider range of subjects, including Mathematics. I don't have a list of the rooms in question, but it's good news nonetheless.
