(1) Vivienne Leech got the community award on to the enrichment scheme at the Alan Turing Institute so will be affiliated with them for this year and the programme started this week.

(2) Francisco Berkemeier passed his viva with minor corrections yesterday, 13^th October. His thesis, "Symmetries and Interaction Kernels in Epithelial Patterning via Notch-Delta Signalling" was supervised by Karen Page, with support from Nadia Sidorova and Philip Pearce. Congratulations Dr Berkemeier!
