Department News, July 2022 Part 2

(1) UCL held its sustainability awards on Wednesday, and the department was awarded a Silver in the Green Impact scheme. Congratulations to the Green Team who earned this: Benjamin Aslan, Matthew Crowe, Sonya Crowe, TD Dang, Ben Davies, Sam Harris, Ted Johnson, Robb McDonald, and Michael Singer.

(2) Georgios Pasias passed his viva on 29^th June. His thesis, titled "Developed liquid film passing a trailing edge under the action of gravity and capillarity", was supervised by Robert Bowles. Congratulations Dr Pasias!

(3) Finally, I am now able to report the good news of this year's promotions round. An excellent year: all the following promotions will take effect from October.

Everyone we put forward was successful - and indeed I'm told this was true across the whole Faculty. Many congratulations to all these colleagues, excellent performances all round to deserve this recognition.
