Department News, February 2022 Part 2

  1. Veronica Bitonti, who is a first year undergraduate student, has been invited to present at the "Tomorrow's Mathematicians Today" conference. Her talk is entitled "A mathematical view of space".
  2. Chris Evans has been awarded his PhD. His thesis, titled "Lagrangian mean curvature flow in the complex projective plane" was supervised by Felix Schulze.
  3. Liam Escott passed his PhD viva yesterday with minor corrections. His thesis, titled "The rheology of weakly-viscoelastic multiphase systems using a cell model", was supervised by me.
