Department News, July 2020 Part 3

(1) Stephanie Chan passed her viva last Friday - her thesis is titled "On the 2-parts of class groups and Diophantine equations".

(2) Ardavan Afshar pass his viva this Monday - his thesis is titled "Topics in the arithmetic of polynomials over finite fields".

Congratulations Dr Chan and Dr Afshar!

These two students were both supervised by Andrew Granville, whose last day at UCL is today. Very best wishes to Andrew - do come back and visit us when you can!
