(1) Education Awards

You will have seen in the MAPS faculty newsletter that we had no less than three winners of Faculty Education Awards this year. They were all recognised for their excellence in their different categories. Many congratulations to Nadia Sidorova, Ibrahim Bulime and David Sheard.

 (2) Grant success

• Hao Ni has had a project funded through the UCL-PKU strategic funding scheme.
• Erik Burman has had his project "Quantitative estimates of discretisation and modelling errors in variational data assimilation for incompressible flows" funded by EPSRC
• Jeff Galkowski has won an EPSRC Fellowship for his project "High energy spectral and scattering phenomena via microlocal analysis".
