Active in the foundation of North London Collegiate School for Girls. Founder of Governesses' Asylum, Kentish Town, 1849; Hon Sec. 1849-60. Married 14/04/1824 Mary Elizabeth, dau[ghter] of John West of Jamaica. Author, Sermons etc. Died Aug 6 1860 at St Olave's London, aged 59. M.I. In St Olave's.

  3. The will of Rev. David Laing late of Mornington Road and of the parish of St Olave Hart Street who died 06/08/1860 who died at the Rectory St Olave proved by Mary Elizabeth Laing, the widow, effects under £8000.
