Biography

Resident slave-owner and merchant on Tortola, and possibly Chief Justice there. His grave at the Planters Cemetery in Johnson Ghut reportedly shows him dying in 1888 aged 74, but this is incompatible with his level of activity in the 1830s and with his contribution to Major Moody's Report on Captured Negroes in the 1820s.
