  1. Son of Edmund Lechmere of Hanley Castle [1710-1805, MP for Worcestershire], matriculated 31/05/1785 aged 18 Merton College Oxford, of Rhyd Court co. Worcester, created a baronet 10/12/1818, receiver-general for Worcestershire and a banker, died 25/03/1849. Will of Sir Anthony Lechmere of Hanley Castle Worcestershire proved 19/06/1849.

Virgin Islands no. 256. T71/1240 gives the background, according to which Joseph Berwick, the father of Sir Anthony Lechmere's first wife Mary Berwick [1769-1820], held a mortgage over the estate, contested by the Nibbs family.
