Both Thomas Leathom and his father Roger Leathom were slave-traders: Thomas co-owned 6 voyages with the Earles between 1800 and 1804, and Roger co-owned 7 voyages all with John Bolton (and most with other partners in addition to Bolton) 1788-98; Roger also co-owned two of the Leathom/Earle voyages.
Will of Thomas Leathom merchant of Liverpool 10/03/1841. In the will he identified both William Earle the elder and William Earle the younger as his partners. After several monetary legacies of £50-100, he left his estate to his sisters Jane, Elizabeth and Mary.
