Reputed daughter of William Forbes (owner of Lundie estate in Westmoreland, who died at some point between 1817 and 1820).
Possibly the Miss Mary Ann Forbes who died "At the Hermitage on the 5th inst. [December 1835] after a painful illness... leaving a large circle of relatives and friends, to mourn her irreparable loss."
