Biography

Glasgow West India merchant, partner in Buchanan, Steven (q.v.) until 1807, and then in the successor firm of Dennistoun, Buchanan.

  1. Will of Moses Steven of Polmadie Lanarkshire proved 15/12/1831. He left his property to his son Moses Steven with a trust to fund legacies of £10,000 to each of his three daughters. His trustees included James Buchanan of Dowanhill, George Buchanan cotton broker of Glasgow and James Buchanan merchant of Glasgow son of George Buchanan.
