London West India merchant, possibly partner with Richard Maitland and certainly uncle of Benjamin Boddington merchant of London and Thomas Boddington of Clapton.

  1. Will of Benjamin Ball gentleman of Hackney Middlesex proved 11/05/1763. He left £500 to Richard Maitland, an annuity of £200 p.a. and his household effects to Mary Webbe of Stonebury in Hertfordshire, £6000 to his niece Elizabeth Boddington and his residuary estate to his nephews Thomas and Benjamin Boddington.

The London Chronicle, Or, Universal Evening Post, Volume 13 No. 990 28-30 April 1763, which noted that he left the bulk of his fortune to his nephews Benjamin and Thomas Boddington.
