Biography

Registered enslaved people in St Michael for William Greenidge, an invalid, in 1820. Deceased by 1823 when the same enslaved people were registered by her executor John Edward Cumberbatch. The enslaved people then passed to William Thomas Greenidge, a minor. Given in the slave registers as "fm" ("free mulatto").

  1. William Greenidge married Ann Maria Belgrave in St Michael, 18/12/1817. William Thomas, "infant mulatto son of Willm. and Ann Maria Greenidge", born 02/08/1818 and baptised 20/10/1818 in St Michael, Barbados. William Greenidge, "free mul." was buried in St Michael 26/04/1820. Ann Maria Greenidge, "free coloured woman" was buried in St Philip 22/09/1821.
