In the will of her father Archibald Campbell of Minard and Knockbuy, he allocated £1400 currency for the purchase of 'new Negro female slaves to marked or branded on the shoulder AC' for the use of Ann Campbell for life. No will or death-date has yet been traced for her. Her husband John Campbell of Spotfield died at Clifton in 1817.
