Dame Sarah Tyrell (née Tyssen)

Heir of her father William Tyssen, from whom she inherited an unnamed estate in Antigua shown by Vere Langford Oliver as 250 acres in St Paul's parish. The Tyssen family has owned that the Bridge or Bridges estate that was left in the will of Samuel Tyssen the elder to his sons in turn and which has not been further traced past his death and which might have been the estate descending to Dame Sarah Tyrell nee Tyssen. Dame Sarah Tyrell and and Sir John Tyrell sold a 'piece of land in the parish of St Paul...called Buckshornes, and formerly cultivated as a sugar estate plantation, continuing 200 acres' 'and also three negros' in 1815 for £1500.
